About portrait

Ever since photography was invented, the first pictures were portraits.

From them, we see what our ancestors looked like.

Today, portrait photography is necessary to apply to your resume job page or LinkedIn.

The better you look in your photos, the more likely you are to be hired or contacted.

That's why it's better to have a photographer take your picture.

I recently had to change my driver's license and the clerk at the post office took a picture of me. When I received my document in the photo I was horrified - I looked like a drug trafficker and I'm not sure if the AI would recognize my face :)

Why we should take pictures career pictures

There are a number of good reasons to take professional career pictures, both for traditional job applications and for building your online professional presence. Here's a breakdown of the benefits:

Beyond just a headshot: While a headshot is a great starting point, you can consider expanding your career portfolio with additional photos depending on your field. For example, construction workers might include a photo showcasing themselves on a job site, while a yoga instructor could benefit from action shots demonstrating their practice.

Overall, taking professional career pictures is a small investment that can pay off in big ways during your job search. It can help you make a strong first impression, boost your online presence, and project a professional image to potential employers.

"Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself.”              Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
